hi does anyone know of anywhere in co louth where it would be ok to camp - like some where in the Cooley's? I know you can camp in Gyles Quay but we would like to camp somewhere off the beaten track - but where we will not be booted off some farmers land etc. thanks, s

Friends of mine go camping in the mountains all the time. Most of the land is used only for grazing sheep and if you go up far enough is state-owned.

You'd do well to find a farmer that rushes you off. Obviously I can't guarantee they won't but most of it is designated walking/hiking tracks and national forest.
