I tried googling this but I can't seem to find anything pertaining to my problem..

I have a 640gb samsung external portable harddrive with all my movies on it. However last week when I went downstairs to the desktop to put some files on it, they copied fine, but when I got it back upstairs and plugged it back into my laptop the files aren't there? This happened again today when trying to copy over files from the work PC.

Not sure what the Issue is, they copy over fine and show up on the hard drive, its only when i get it home and into my laptop that they dissapear again!? And its not a space issue either..

Any advice would be great!!
