Just saw this in the paper today. Seems to be only the retail store - the two rental outlets seem to be hanging in there. While I've bought a few things in there over the years, you could always tell they struggled to price their more obscure and niche DVDs competitively. Nice to have a browse in and pick up the occasional oddity, though. Just another unfortunate loss of an arthouse film location in Dublin.

I don't think I've ever bought anything from them. But I'll cry if anything happens to the rental store.

Are are there any good alternatives for renting indie/foreign films?

I can live without the retail store, but the rental store is one of the best, if not the best, out there. I was disappointed when I went in there a few months back to find that they weren't going to let people rent Blu-ray's anymore. What a shame, but I guess they have to cut there losses.

I love their shop in Ranelagh beside where I live, hope it survives another few years though eventually it will all be downloads/streaming.

Good spot to get hard to find stuff. I guess internet shopping played a big part in it's downfall.
