    Guys

    I'm heading to Florida in September and was thinking of picking up a few bits and pieces. Cammo and stuff I know I'll have no problem getting back into Ireland, but I'm also thinking of picking up a grenade similiar to this:

    http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/other-gun/grenade-others/snicker-360-gas-powered-mkii-grenade.html

    and possible a scope.

    Does anyone know if there are restrictions on bringing them in like the 1J limit on AEGs? obviously i'm not going to keep it in my carry on or anything like that. the alternative is i might just mail it home to myself from there

    Just back from florida myself, you wont find airsoft stores as the yanks to get their guns etc on the met as for scopes just pop into any Walmart. For the camo you will find plenty of what they call Army/Navy stores.

    Mail it. Bringing anything even remotely resembling a rifle/pistol/grenade will set off every alarm for a mile around the airport. Especially stateside.

    Last time I was in Florida, a lot of bigger sports stores had basic airsoft gear at slightly inflated prices, usually held beside the paintball guns. Not really worth looking at, but there's a few bargains in dot sights etc.
    There are airsoft stores down there, but I didn't seek any out. I was having a holiday, I couldn't have given a toss about airsoft (I was going to Blue Man Group at Universal Studios in a Mustang, I didn't give a smeg about anything else at that stage).

    You could get some real deal Magpul accessories over there, rail covers, foregrips etc as they are generally cheaper than the airsoft replica stuff. Don't know if customs will stop it being posted out though because as far as I know real Magpul gear can not be exported.

    if you do decide to bring the nade home i have 2 of them and they're really bad, better of sticking with the thunder B.

    there's on in Orlando that I know of called Toy Soilder Sports so I'll swing by there. and theres two or three surplus stores, but if not well I can get uspatriottactical.com to ship to where i'm staying. looking for some ABUs which are not as common and this crowd have them. i can get Top, Pants, hat, name tape & Rank sown on shipped (2 day shipping) for about US$120

    that that bad? The reason I'm avoiding the thunder B is that some sites dont allow them inside any structures/buildings which defeats the purpose of a grenade, coz i'd roll it in to clear a room so i wouldnt get shot

    one of mine blows up in my hand and the other det's whenever it wants, neither expel all the BB's. not being able to use thunder B's is unusual, they building should be able to withstand a blast from that like. only Pressure.

    think its actually something to do with the noise, the dB level is too high or something for H&S reasons or something like that

    120dB i can kind of understand that but at the same time they are designed to cause no permemnant harm

    I mean in the work place it's:

    Upper Exposure Action Values (EAVupr):
      • daily or weekly exposure of 85 dB(A);
      • peak sound pressure of 137 dB(C).
      Levels of noise exposure which must not be exceeded:
      • Exposure Limit Values (ELV):
        • daily or weekly exposure of 87 dB(A);
        • peak sound pressure of 140 dB(C).
      and teh above i would assume is for noise that is at that level for a long periood like machines in manufacturing, drills etc not a bang that lasts 1second.

      maybe its the dB level + teh size of teh room or something.
