In my apartment block there is a small underground spot for parking (enough for 3 cars) the gate was broken and some scumbags broke into it,all 3 cars were robbed and burnt,in my lease it states that the landlord isn't insured against tenants property (he IS responsible for keeping the gate safe doh),would he still not be liable for the damage like would it be a technicality if i were to take on legal matters,i really want to get out of my lease too so any info on that would be appreciated too x:)

You should have car insurance for your car.

His insurance would never cover your car.

With regards to the gate, you would have to prove that he was liable for the gate to be open (rather than someone breaking through the gate).

my insurance covered my car and in the lease it states that he is responsible for the property,i know the gate was broken as i use the car park,i couldnt get in contact with the landlord to inform him of the broken gate, which resulted in the mean time of the fire

If he wasn't aware it was broken, then as far as he knew, it was secure and working correctly. So, he has no further obligation.

Glad your car insurance covered your car.

I'm not sure what else you want to hear.
