I was looking at starting some football coaching courses, and I see the first two FAI courses (kick start I, and II) are on soon enough and I'm thinikng about doing them.

Has anyone on here done one or heard anything about them?

I would like to do something like that, put my 'knowledge' into practice.

    All replies are appreciated:)

kick start 1 & 2 only require attendance to pass. They run over the weekend and cover the fundamental skills and organising a coaching session with the 6 to 9 age group and the 9 to 12 age group respectively.

there is a coaching forum thread knocking about, you should look it up and join the fun!:D

ive done the kickstarts #1 is more or less basic common sense #2 introduces slightly more, the likes of drills etc. theres obviously a lot more in the next step i.e. youth cert or senior cert but you have to have kickstart 1 & 2 to apply for these

I don't have access to many external websites in work.

    Can anyone tell me

    1. How much is it to do Kickstart I & II
    2. Do they run at weekends/evenings?

    Kickstart I is 45e, II is 75, the next three are 400, 975 and 1650 I think
