I recently started an Arctic Monkeys tribute band with 3 of my mates. We've done 3 gigs already and are looking to get this going properly. We're called "Arctic Monkeez" as it was the first thing we all agreed on. I'm not so sure on the name as it lacks originality, and would like to try and come up with a catchy name that people would instantly recognised.

Does anyone thing Arctic Monkeez is good and should we keep it?

Anyone got any decent suggestions? Would be much appreciated.

You could try a pun on one of their song names. I've always liked that U2 cover band that was called "Even Better Than The Real Thing" :).

How about "Fluorescent Adolescents" (assuming you're all around that age) or All Our Own Stunts?

Hmmmm, if you're not going to go with a song title, then how about The Cathartic Monkeys?

Personally, The Arctic Monkeez is a little weak, methinks.

Arctic Monkeez isnt very good because you have to read it to get it. Its no different spoken.

    What about Chilly Gorilla :D:D

    Artane Monkeys
This is definitely the winner so far although as a non-Dub I've no idea what kind of a relationship Tallaght and Artane have with each other.

    Monkeez to melooks like Kleneez
the z thing is also associated with kiddy things
    like Kool Kidz

Just saying those associations are there for me,
You want something that makes you instantly thing of the band, sometimes it doesnt have to be a play on the band name just something thats instantly recogisable with the band,

Just warning you Monkeez is a reusable nappy brand... :)

    Good Luck
