I intend to get a Macbook pro when i gove over to the states in a month. Im a student, so i thought id get the 100dollar itunes gift card..How will i go about claiming this when my eu accont works?

If it's the same as normal iTunes gift vouchers, then it will only work with the store associated with the region where it was purchased. So you would have to set up a US iTunes account and use that to claim it.
