Help needed with Impulse Responses

I'm sampling my old Lexicon LXP-15II. Here are some of the presets. I'm not sure that the process captures the sound exactly. Maybe it's my converter, or maybe it's the Lexicon modulation. But as far as I know there is no modulation in this Lexicon.

Or maybe I've made a noob error! So feel free to download, any feedback is appreciated.

There are IR files that will work in any convoluter (?), and Space designer presets also.

Just ABing the IR (Mellowmuse IR1) with the hardware in Pro Tools. They're identical! :)

I used Apple's Impulse Response Utility, part of the Logic install. It sticks quite a few interesting apps in the Utilities folder. It's easy to convert the resulting .SDIR file to WAV for use in Mellowmuse IR1A or whatever you have, because it's actually an AIF-C file.

I think I've got the knack of recording them right and editing them so they're spot on. As I said, I AB'd with the hardware plumbed in to Pro Tools, and they're indentical. Unless there's pitch modulation... the IR does not capture that.

Thanks MT, you're a man of many talents.

Aw shucks, thanks! But I can't really take any credit for this. I read the instructions, read some articles on IR, and then sampled some Lexicon presets. It's hard to go wrong with a Lexicon. Mine spent most of its time on preset one "Hall". :)
