Female Mandarin ?

Saw this on Quarry Lake in the Phoenix Park today. I've never seen mandarins there before, but this certainly didn't look like a mallard. It was a good bit smaller, more the size of the young mallards, and the white eye-stripe was what caught my eye.

Female Mandarin is what it is - not a patch on the male though.
