hi i have a peugeot 306 1.4 petrol with 120k miles and on every journey over about 6-7 miles it starts to overheat. i have it for 2 and a half year and it only started overheating about a month ago it used half a liter of water in one week 2 weeks ago and it used 200ml of water yesterday.

there is brown goo on the cover of the raditator i also burns a bit of oil every now and a again could the two be linked?

it has always burned a bit of oil from when i bought it, but it never used any water i check oil and water 2-4 times a week and never had to put much water in until last month.

could the head gasket be going?
