    Hi

    I have a 2003 Honda Accord CL7 2.0l Petrol

i was driving on the motorway with Crusie control on doing 70 all of a sudden the engine cut out,i had to swerve across 2 lanes onto the hard shoulder.

The engine management fault light was on,I brought the car to a garage and got it plugged in,i was told that one or more sensors were gone(crankshaft,Cam)

the mechanic advised i change the Crankshaft sensor, which was done, altought the car started and sounded ok,the fault light remained on,he then plugged it in again and said that possibly the Cam sensors were also gone(is there 2 ?)
He said that the car was drivable,it currently is in use, however the car feels completely different to before the fault, yes it is driving, but it now feels like the Vtec is not kicking in,that kick is not there at 3,500-4,000+.

can anyone give me an opinion as to what to do next,is it possible that the Cam sensors are also gone(is there really 2),would these impact the Vtec kicking in,help appreciated

    C.

    Hi

my wife is just out of the Honda dealer where it was plugged in,they are saying that the code was showing a timing difference between Crankshaft Sensor and Cam Sensor,he is saying that everything points to a stretcehd timing chain, what am i looking at money wise to get a chain changed?
this just goes from bad to worse!!
