Fluoroscope

    There's a fluoroscope located directly underneath my desk in work in a prefabricated building. I'm a little concerned about the safety of it in terms of radiation etc but I've very little knowledge of what it actually is or how safe it is. Can anyone enlighten me on it?

    Apologies mods for double posting, I posted in p&c but got no response.

    X-ray equipment like this in Ireland is licensed by the RPII (Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland). This means that when the equipment was installed, calculations would have been performed to see if neighbouring rooms (and floor above and below) would receive radiation over a threshold. See the RPII website for is some further info.
