Hey all, I'm going to be studying my Masters at UCD so looking to play some golf while I'm over.

As a student and being on a tight budget which courses are close and cheap?
Also need to latch onto a fourball to make sure I play at least once every 2 weeks, currently off an 11 handicap and I'm 24.

Please any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

There is a course around the corner from UCD about 5 minutes walk going toward the Dart station. Elm Park I think its called buts I could be wrong since I only played it twice. Cheap if your a student around the 20euro mark but not a good course, especially if your a 11 handicapper. However, if you want cheap golf and I will just assume you wont have a car and will be living near the college then its prob your best bet.

Forgot to add that the Business School is in BLACKROCK

Is it around the corner from here? Is the course average, such as bumpy greens and generally not taken care of?

I am super clueless when it comes to the Dublin area.

Also need to find a cheap gym in the area, any ideas?

Your in the Smurfit school in Blackrock. I think you need a car for most of the golf courses.

They have a student Gym in UCD which is very good for students. There is also a Smurfit & UCD golf society which you should join.

Check out the UCD forum for more info.
