You'll need to get the serial number and email it to TM, and in my experience they won't bother replying for (literally) months, and when they do all they'll say is that you have to bring it to your local shop for assessment.

If you're worried it's a counterfeit, don't buy it. If you're buying in Ireland, only buy under the agreement that you can get it checked by the local shop.

My golf buddies wife is looking to buy him an R11 for his birthday. She found this site http://www.specialpricegolf.com/taylormade/driver/taylormade-r11-driver?zenid=18696791ab9862df57ad1ef36084f9c0. I was wondering if anybody has bought from them? Is it a safe and legit site?

I only purchase from a professional or golf shop, not worth the risk with that amount of money

I woudl say it is a legit site alright because you can pay by Paypal but not sure if the merchandise is legit, how much is postage etc and how much customs excise and vat would you have to pay to bring it in?

My guess you would have to pay:
    1. $199.99 @ FX: 1.45 = €137.92
    2. Postage surely $50 @ FX: 1.45 = €34.48
    3. Excise @ 2.6% of value(Irish value) of package = €8.58
    4. Vat @ 21% of Irish value (€275nett) = €57.75
Total cost = €238.73 and it might not even be legit................not worth it IMO
