Corrolla Air Filter Housing

    Hi guys

    looking to change air filter on Toyota Corrolla 2003
    I have removed the air hose pipe on side of housing and loosened the 2 housing plastic clips at the back of housing But the top of the housing wont open i cant see anything else that would be keeping it closed

    any help will be appreciated

    There should be some metal clips on the housing lower part.
    You don't need to take the hose off.
    Just pop the two or three spring clips off and the top part should hinge back and then lift up.
    the clips are shaped like a C with a tab at the top.

    No Cj that's the older model your thinking of, on the 2003 corolla flip up the two T shaped clips on the back of the housing and slide them forward or back the the lid comes up
