Weather conditions favouring the spread of potato blight will develop over the weekend and will occur at times next week also. There will be opportunities for spraying today, Saturday, and on several occasions during the week ahead.

Has anyone noticed any benefit from weeding the potatoes?
It would seem to allow a quicker drying after the rain so maybe it might be useful in showery conditions.

Also might it be helpful to plant lots of small areas instead a few larger ones?

Has anyone heard about copper products being likely to be banned by the EU in the future?
