Even though you're incorrect much of the time, that's your choice and should be respected.

Nobody's saying that at all - and I've no doubt you know it - just that what you're saying is pretty ignorant frankly and they're setting you straight. Lol tbh at you making out people are telling you you're wrong for not doing drugs.

I apologise and still you insult me? I don't think people are saying I am wrong not to have done drugs, more that I am wrong to comment without having done them.

I'm not ignorant nor 'incorrect much of the time'.

But I think maybe I need to have done drugs to be able to comment properly on this?

It's so funny how naive people can get about drugs
    It sure is.
once they've gotten into a comfortable place with them, and anyone who voices otherwise is deemed 'anti-drugs'
If it's difficult for you to accept that plenty of people who take drugs recreationally (as opposed to abusing them which is obviously a serious problem) and deal with their effects just fine and lead happy, productive, successful lives and are balanced individuals, your problem tbh...

But then there'd be no ambulances to help all the poor sods who OD'd on a night out trying ecstacy for the first time.

That's fine because it's not actually possible to OD on ecstasy. People who get stabbed or beaten into comas by drunks however is a reality, as are people who die of alcohol poisoning etc.
    BUT DRUGS R BAD MKAY
Did you hear the latest, they are selling an addictive cancer causing drug in shops now, everywhere! Oh ban these head shops spar please and save us all!

RIP Amy. What a talented flawed lady, sad loss for her family. Questionable if she had any real friends, just seems to have had hangers on and yes men. Massive loss of potential

thats why people are discussing it with you though, for you to discuss what they're pulling you up on. if you believe in what you're saying then dont apologise for arguing your point. its what others are doing.

Again I am not apologising for making my opinion known.

Just for causing argument on a topic perhaps I don't know anything about and going somewhat OT.

Whatever. Certain drugs are illegal for a reason. Justify it however you want. Peanuts aren't an addictive substance and people are tested for peanut allergies at birth.

    I'm addicted to peanuts. :(

I don't see how I insulted you but sorry if I was smart-arsed.
I don't think people are saying I am wrong not to have done drugs, more that I am wrong to comment without having done them.
    Nope. Just inform yourself.
I'm not ignorant nor 'incorrect much of the time'.
Sorry but you are - you're making out that even the occasional pill could lead to junkieville and death. That is plain and simply incorrect.
But I think maybe I need to have done drugs to be able to comment properly on this?
    Absolutely not.

As I said earlier, I'll wager any amount that at least one prescription drug, legally prescribed by a doctor and sold by a pharmacist, was involved here.

You called me ignorant, that qualifies as insulting.

Look I don't want an argument and you clearly know better than me on this topic so lets just leave it there.

Sugar is an addictive substance, as is alcohol.

People aren't bigging up drugs, just saying it's not as simple as a case of "All drugs are bad and will ruin your life/kill you!!!" The fact is: that is incorrect a lot of the time. It is just tabloid hysteria.

Her dad has heard the news and is flying back from new york. Sky news just confirmed drugs.

Calling someone ignorant is the same as calling someone selfish, it isn't an insult. Ignorance is being unaware of something, selfishness is looking out for oneself they're not ad-hom attacks. The two things aren't necessarily always bad, but there is a culture that there are. For example, you are ignorant towards the concept of ignorance.:)

People don't become informed by reading entire boards.ie threads. get over yourself. I'm sure users are well capable of opening a second tab and exploring news sources

I once heard of a 27 year old woman who died from drowning. Should nobody go swimming now?

    RIP

I think she had a lot of problems in her life and then took a path in life that lead her towards drug use.

I hope she finds peace now, hard to hear of anyone so young dying.

She joins John Lennon in the tour de france of death at 27...2 of the greatest song writers of these days

Both shunned by society and left to die alone, when its cold out here...by the world.

What a loss. Shame on you people.

    RIP Aimee
