Didn't really know where to put this so ill throw it in here! Austin is big on Samoa Joe!

    From his Twitter:
WWE should sign @SamoaJoe as soon as his TNA contract is up. One of my favorite workers in today's game. Needs a full green light push.

Joe signed a new contract last year,I doubt wwe showed much interest when he resigned then. He's gone pure Lazy imo & I am a big fan of his

Yeah, me too. I wonder how badly Austin would be marking out if he saw Samoa Joe back in 2005 before his spirit was broken.

Mick Foley pitched to Vince that Punk and Joe should be signed & then debut in a 60 minute match on Raw back in 05/06.

    Vince declined.

"how dare you get over without me". I'll never understand Vince's hard on for "in-house" superstars. Wrestling is all about variety. And if you sign someone, he's yours to make you money.

I think Joe's best days are behind him, he's badly broken down and gone fat as a fool.

His work rate is still more than enough for WWE; i'm hoping if WWE signed him he'd turn his health around like Goldust's amazing transformation; who looked like Missy Elliot in TNA

He's only 32. To be honest, I'd say the reason he has let himself go a little is because TNA is booking him terribly and he just can't be arsed with it. I hope TNA let him go and WWE sign him.

Foley is a Fatter idiot than I ever thought he was for pitching a hour long match as a way to debut two new talents. The fans would just sit there not understanding who either of them are. Joe as many have said has let himself go & hasn't been the same since they had him lose to Angle by tapout. Tna booked him well before that imo

And rightly so. That was a desperate idea. 2 unknowns (to the average fan) doinga one hour match? They would be bored to death. 1 hour matches at the best of times have to be very carefully booked and should be part of a greater feud. Another humdinger of an idea from the Folester.

Its not an age thing its more the physical toll that killing himnself for years in the indies to make a name for himslef has taken. His knees are in a bad way and the weight gain has been happening steadily for years ever before he ever went to TNA. Its partly the aul Samoan gene which seem to predispose to putting on a pile of weight over time. I also read befpore that his joints in general are in bad shape ehich makes cardio extra difficult for him.

If hi weight gain is purely down to his disillusionment with TNA then I'd say that shows a lack of professionalism which would be a major black mark in WWE where they guys are expected to look after their apperance in a big way.

I doubt he's going to be getting that call anytime soon unfortunately, and eve if they did they'd be more likely to have him as Umaga's savage cousin than letting him be the amazing worker we all know him to be.

Please tell me you are joking?

2 unknowns having a 1 hour wrestling match debut on your top show in front of a crowd who probably had no idea who they were?

    FAIL.

The reason he let himself go is his knees are fecked they were totally fecked in ROH 5 years ago. That and he is Samoan so he is genetically predisposed to retaining weight.

    FAIL.

He talks about it in his ROH shoot interview. He had three pitches Punk-Joe, him unifying both World titles at Wrestlemania :pac: and *i think* the Randy Orton angle he did.

He did the first two as he knew Vince would shoot them down thus making his real idea look better & more sensible.

Where did he say his knees are done in?

He hurt his PCL and MCL in 2006.

Joe started to get really fat after a flying dropkick off the balcony on Sting in TNA years back.

Ouch :( Not good for a fat man! So he's essentially done?

Such a ludicrous spot to be attempting in the first place, straight onto concrete steps if I remember rightly.

I remember that wouldn't it of hurt his back more than his knees though?

I found whenever they wrote him out with a injury he'd come back heavier. Motivation is a problem but a lot of it is just down to him being a bit lazy i'm afraid. I remember reading a article about how the ROH Champions used to work themselves into the ground having long physical matches so maybe that has something to do with it.

^ Hmmm, long term ROH champs

Joe - a mess according to the last few posts
Nigel - Complete mess. FFS, he was turned heel essentially for missing a match due to concussion.
Danielson - seems to be in good working order
    Aries - Ditto

Jerry Lynn, not long enough and is very much in the verteran category.

Tyler Black passed a WWE medical so must be ok.

Morishima - seems to be working away in Japan without too many problems.

James Gibson - short term enough. Retired long after leaving ROH

CM Punk - fairly short term and seems to be in the shape of his life.

Xavier/Low Ki/Roderick/Eddie Edwards/Homicide all seem to be alright as well

So I would not blame just the ROH schedule.

So I would not say the ROH schedule

    About the 10.40 mark.

As mentioned all time dumb landing on concrete steps and with metal hand rail there.

God it's depressing to see Joe these days. You can tell just by looking at him his heart isn't in it anymore. It's such a shame because I remember a time when he was one of the best wrestlers in the world. His matches with Angle, Punk, AJ, Danielson, Necro and Aries were all out of this world. It was when if you were to pick either him or Punk making if you'd put everything on Joe.

TNAs booking plays a huge factor because it killed the aura he once had. Then his lack of indie shows has made him rusty and giving him less in ring exercise and you have the Joe of today.

Even if TNA let him go I doubt Joe will be back to his glory days, simply because his passion seems to have died.
