Sickness Benefit

    I had to claim sickness benefit two weeks ago. I am going to be out of work for at least another three months. I filled out my form from the doctors and handed it in on the Wednesday and was told to come back for my sw cert and hand it in to them on the Friday. I am handing in my second cert today and I still haven't heard a thing from them or recieved a payment. How long does this usually take?

    It can occasionally be quite slow. If you are struggling you should go to see your CWO as soon as possible and she/he will means test you for a SWA payment while you are waiting for your IB claim to be processed.

    your usually waiting up to 21days for payment as i was out myself 2weeks ago and returned after the week and am still waiting i ran this morning and was told that i should have payment by next week as it was only bening processed in there dublin system if ur stuck for money u should see ur CWO
