zyxel router slowed laptop download speed

    Since i got a zyxel router P 660 HW J1 V3 from eircom my laptop is very slow download speed less than 1 MB while a desktop on the same network is 6MB.
    EDIT I have now access to the router web page and see even on the slow laptop the download speed is given as 6MB so must be computer?


    In trying to solve it I was messing around troubleshooting with wireless connection properties and now cannot get to the webpage of the router at http://192.168.1.254/rpAuth.html2 It says Local user or Telnet administrator is configuring this device
    solved that by disabling and reenabling wireless properties
