No WiFi on Ipad Ist Gen

    Folks,
    for some strange reason the ipad is not picking up the wireless signal yet my laptop is working fine.
    We are connected to Vodafone home broadband- just wondering if there is something wrong with the Ipad or has anyone else experienced this problem

    Did it work before? Or did it suddenly stop working?

    First port of call is a restore in iTunes. It takes away alot of the guess work.

    Yes, have done a full restore twice.
    It was working fine two days ago and just suddenly stopped. The are no bars displayed on the top left corner of the screen, even when the internet is switched on.
    It displays the modem ok in the Wi-Fi tab but when I click on it it doesnt allow me to enter the password.
    I can use the internet perfect on the laptop.
    I have no idea what is wrong.....
