I'm just wondering would eating three 300g tubs of cottage cheese a day be too much? Would more than three tubs be ok?

There's prob nothing wrong with it but why so much?
That's c.1000cals from cottage cheese. If you need to get in massive amounts of cals/protein, there are far better ways to do it.

It's cheap, a good source of protein and works well in a smoothie machine mixed with fruit. I need to get alot of cals/protein what better way should I do it?

Whey, eggs, tuna, pulses, tofu, turkey breast... Or do you specifically mean for making smoothies?!

CC is good quality protein, but it isn't very high in protein or calories per 100g.
A decent sized steak would get you pretty similar levels of protein and cals as 3 tubs. I'd rather get through that than nearly a kilo of cottage cheese.

Or a big bowl of mince beef chilli, or even a homemade burger.

CC is a great snack, mixed with berries, the sheer volume of it means I would fancy it as a main source of protein.

A smoothy is a great snack or post work out but liquid food isn't a great choice for the human stomach for more than that. It was designed to work on solids.
