Does anyone know the cheapest place to go on holidays in the Mediterreanean? Not looking to do a lot, just relax.

Try Bulgaria, Sunny Beach resort is supposed to be a lot cheaper than the med. Accommodation is reasonable compared to places I have stayed in Majorca for example.

    Bo-jangles:)

Cheers for that! I did see some cheap packages for Bulgaria. Saw a few great deals to Tunisia as well. Has anyone been there?

I have been to Tunisia 5 times in the past 10 years. It's quite good. I've almost always stayed in Port El Kantaoui. It's the easiest place to stay if you're looking to be close to the Marina. There are some gorgeous hotels in Port El Kantaoui if you're willing to pay a bit extra. But there are equally good quality if you're on a budget. One being the Golf Residence. I wouldn't believe all the bad reviews about it on tripadvisor. There's plenty of us who've been there and found nothing wrong with the place.

Hammamet is a grand area to stay at too. Although you are away "from it all". There's a few little shopping places, but nothing as big as Sousse. Sousse is a place you go, to be hassled by everyone every 5 minutes. But you do it for the craic. The only decent places around Sousse to stay is the Moevenpick Resort & Marine Spa or the Marhaba Beach Hotel. These are classed as luxury in Tunisia.

    I've stayed at these hotels:
    El Mouradi Port El Kantaoui
    Golf Residence Hotel
    El Mouradi Palm Marina
    El Mouradi Club Kantaoui
    El Mouradi Palace

    And they have been great!

Not quite on the mediterranean but i always found Portugal to be fairly priced.
The south of Italy could be worth a shout too.

Thank you so much sambora! Def think we'll be heading there. Don't know anyone who's been there so it's great to hear you had a great time and kept going back!

Hi sambora, just wanted to ask you about how much spending money would you need for a week? We're not looking to do a lot, maybe a few excursions, but really just going to relax
