    Hi guys,
Having previously considered getting a netbook for my parents, I've decided that a new laptop is a better option. I've been looking on saveonlaptops.co.uk and have come across this one. Just wondering what people think?http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_5741Z_988476.html
I just need a basic enough machine for the parents to use the internet, skype and microsoft office and store a few photos. I'm looking at limiting my spending to about 350euro max.
Is this a bad buy? Does anyone know of a better laptop in my price range?
    Thanks a million

Id recommend this http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/MSI_CR620_1088301.html , for £22 more it has a lot better processor.

If you can figure out the "cash back" offer on this one, I'd pay £10 more than the Acer to get this: http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/HP_ProBook_4320s_1066236.html - With the offer, it's the cheapest non-Acer laptop on there with an i3 processor.

If the offer isn't available for you (for whatever reason), I'd go the further £12 more for the MSI mentioned above.

Acer isn't a reliable brand. Plus getting the i3 processor in the others we've mentioned means your parents will have a hard working, somewhat powerful and in-date laptop for a lot longer. Presuming they have at least an OK broadband connection, it'll also produce a more consistent enjoyment of Skype, sending and receiving video with ease.
