Has anyone any experience with nordman roofing. Im building an room separate from the house. Its 11.5 foot x 23 foot. I want to put a hip roof on it.
    Is nordman much cheaper
    Is it easy fit
What are the advantages and dissadvatages to it.

    Thanks for any info.

I've used it before but only on sheds. Its very noisy in the rain and doesnt look the best but it is cheaper than tiles or slates.
Dont skimp on the rest of the roof build up, put on felt/breathermembrane and insulate.

Make sure to price some of the other similar materials like Gusclad aswell

In general it costs about the same as tiles or man made slate, when all things are considered - labour, fitting, cost of sheet, fixings etc.

It probably is easier to fit as each sheet covers a large area. Its relatively easy to cut. But you might need experience to cut accurate hips - diagonal cut.

I've used it mainly on soccer changing rooms, as its fairly vandal proof.
A client used it on their house, the roof is well insulated so they don't notice any noise during heavy rain.

Heavy rain can be very noisey on slate and conc tiles also. Rain on rooflights can be particularly loud. So if you plan a rooflight then don't worry about the noise on Nordman sheets.

I am thinking of putting on a nordman roof on my private home as the pitch is low and the existing slate roof is now leaking. Can I put the nordman roof over the existing roof. Is it a good job.

Yes you can I have used it and it works well you will have to strip your roof back to the rafters .
