French and German ARTS!

Hey I'm coming to Maynooth in September to do arts and I want to do French and German! Can anyone tell me what other subject would compliment these and has anyone done beginners German before as I have only done French for the Leaving Cert!

A friend of mine is going in to 3rd year of French and German, she did Anthropology as her third arts subject in first year.

I wasn't in beginners German, but I have friends who were, and while you have an extra class a week to try and catch up with us "advanced" heads, none of them found it to be overly taxing (though it's not a doss either like), and you'll find at the end of the year that you'll probably be even better than some of the people who did it for six years. Well, better with grammar anyway, not with vocab as you pick that up over time. Hope this helps
