They've been giving this a very good shout out on Beat FM over the past couple of days - Beat is now behind the run instead of WLR but it's still a ten miler (or as Mary O' Neill infamously said yesterday morning, ''ten miles is only 13km'':D)
anyway full details at this link http://www.beat102103.com/beat-blog/2011/07/19/the-2011-south-east-run-for-life/

and it think it was a waterford ac stalwart who won it last year in under the hour

Brian Murphy won it handy in 53/54 mins lat year...
The route is starting at the clock tower up to the tower hotel, all the way out the cork road to tom murphy garage, left over the link road to the hospital and finishing back at the park.
Its not a a competitive race by any stretch...only 3/4 under 60 mins

ah right have never run it Sosa, but must be 2yrs ago that Frank Q won it then??? and yeah it didn't look the most competitive from the results i've seen from a couple of yrs.... interesting to see if the much more listened to (well i reckon anyway;)) beat fm makes any diff to the standard of athlete taking part

Frank was second last year...i doubt it...in fairness it had 1000+ entries...but the fact you have to get sponsorship puts people (competitive Runners ) off i reckon
