Peugeot 307 HDI Antipollution Fault

I just bought Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI 90hp year 2003 with 130.000kms on the board. The car was serviced just before i bought it on a regular service (Service C by some Peugeot standards) and everything was ok. But just after 50km after i had it in my possession when I started the engine Antipollution fault message appeared and the car lost power and was not going as it used to: didn't go over 110km/h and max round 2000-2500rpm. I was on open road so I stopped at the first town at the official Peugeot service that was closing, the guys quickly opened the hood, opened one thing that was on top, put the gas on max and black smoke came off the exhaust. After that the car was going normal and the light on the board went off after 100kms. I remembered that the guy who sold the car to me said it might choke up if i drive it on empty tank, so i guessed that is what happened, Because i filed the tank just 20km before this happened, and it was almost empty when he sold it to me. So i went yesterday to the official service in my home town to make detail cleaning , they said they will put it on computer and suddenly, they said the car is stalking often so they presume that its some thins in the chamber they need to replace, cant remember the name, but they said that they are 4, each costing around 500 eur), that something was not opening in 2ms like it should... Are they trying to rip me off?? The car is running great, and you can feel the turbo kicking in when you drive it. Between the mechanics in the first town, and my home town i was going 130km/h on uphil in 4th gear, and running 150-160km/h on highway, passed over 500km and didnt feel the engine stalking or anything. What should i do?? Thanks

Get 2nd/3rd option...It sounds like there talking about the injectors..if it was
over fueling then it would create excessive black smoke on acceleration.
To check the injectors first get a "leak off test"/"leak back test" done,
this should find the faulty injector(s) if they are the problem.
Also get the fault codes (p-codes) read and report back.
What part of the country are you based in..?

I just went to another mechanic,he put the car on computer and no errors were shown, thou he said that the error might have been erased/reset from the system. He said that the engine has some arrhythmic in working, but he doubt its the injectors. His offer was to replace the fuel filter, clean some pipe in the back of the engine (even take something out), clean the injectors with ultrasound, and few other small repairs for around 400eur.
I also contacted the BOSH service and they said they can replace the mechanism inside the injectors for 100eur each.
I'll ask today where can i perform the leak tests.
I also noticed yesterday that sometimes (i guess when i overdo with the clutch pedal in 1st and R gear) the car acts like its over saturated with fuel, its just barely rolling, so i usually put the pedal to max and the car just catapults in 1-2 seconds. This is my first diesel car so either its something wrong or i just still don't know how to drive it.
And I'm not located in Ireland, but i googled people with similar problems on this board so i thought to get some advice :( Thanks again

Report back on how you get on with your mechanic...sounds like he's starting with the basics which is way to go before replacing injectors...;)
A leak back test is a very simple affective test which gives a good indication on how the injectors are behaving...:)
    Best of luck..;)
