    Hi folks,

just wondering if you can help me. My sister in law is looking to buy this car:

    http://www.gowanmotors.ie/vehicle/volkswagen-golf-comf14tsi122hp5dr-2010-2019/

Can you offer any advice on what to look out for on these engines? I thought I remember seeing something about engine misfires, particulary on the 1.4, had something to do with the coil pack on it, is this true? I am going to do a google search of the car and reviews but looking to get some advice on here too if ye dont mind, particlarly if someone on here owns the same car.

    thanks,

    burger

That's a lot of miles in one year. I'd want to make sure there was dealer stamps at the correct intervals so that any 2 year manufacturer warranty wasn't invalidated.

Yeah its a lot of miles alright, i dont know the history of the car but I have told the sister to ask about it a bit more. Do you know know about service intervals on that type of car? i know that there is a chain cam in it so no need to worry about timing belt, just at that mileage would we be needing water/oil pump?
