    For insurance:
    How old are you?
    Do you have a licence?
How long do you have your licence?
Do you have a no claims bonus in your own name or driving experience in someone elses name?

Nearly ALL insurance companies quote online. Do a search. Its quicker than posting here

Ideally get something with low power, as close to 1 litre as possible, the Corollas in that year range are 1.3 or 1.4 litre, you would be best staying around 1 litre for the first year or two, this might save €4-500 a year.

Well I was hoping to get a 1.3 Corolla. I was just wondering if I did this. Get insured on the car. Whatever it might cost roughly 1500..If I did the driving test within a few weeks. Would you get some of your money back??

I was with Quinn and they gave me some money back for either changing to a full licence or being a year older after a few months.

I can't remember which. You should ring them, usually their sales line is quick to pick up.

Depends on who you're with, I got back 300 the time I passed mine.
