    Hey Guys,

I am lucky enough to be travelling to India for a month on a work trip on Sunday. I will be based on Pune but will have time to travel a bit with over there - expect to be able to spend a few days in Mumbai.

Has anyone got any experience in either city and if so, anything that you would recommend doing or avoiding? Also, any suggestions on bars and/or restaurants?

I am pretty open to doing anything at all.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers!!

I am getting strangely paranoid that I have forgotten something that is required in order to travel. My passport and VISA is all that I need to enter the country with an airline, yeah?

mumbai is the one of the most busiest city in the world. Pune is a kinda business district outside Mumbai. if you are into greenery, then there are few scenic routes for biking or driving.
it is the monsoon season now. so be prepared for the mumbai flooding.
there are a lot of tourists in india now. so dont worry you wont be a Alien there.
you may find few street sellers trying to sell stuff. but ignore them and keep walking.
eat in known places to avoid the hot curry. drink bottled and sealed water.

Yup, that's all you need! Pack some good mozzie repellent. It's really hard to get it in India because they don't really do deet (don't really means they do but it's weak and very hard to find). Just environmentally friendly stuff that is terrible. And you'll need it in the monsoon.

I'm not sure of places to go. Chennai is a great city. Flights around India are very cheap. If you book in advance you could get a nice weekend in just about any part of the country. Trains are fantastic too.
