    Hi,
we have a room in the house that needs dry-lining.
17sqm of wall (over two walls)

    Basically the job entails

Removal of existing insulation (battons and rockwool)
    Installation of 80ml insulated board
    Skimming
Electrical and rads move and reinstall (in same place)
    New windowboard installed

    First quote is at 1,500.
I'm waiting for 2 more quotes to come back in.

Does this first quote seem reasonable??
What is the going rate for dry-lining at the moment

    Thanks

    Dazza

If you do a costing of the materials you should have a better idea.

    Plasterboard 6 sheets @ 35 euro = 210

Plasterboard fixings and skimcoat = 80

Window board and skirting = 70

So that is around € 360 for materials.

There really is not much labour involved so 1500 is about 400 to 500 too much in my opinion.

    Hope this helps.
