The gun you linked to is listed as 330fps which is ever so slightly over the Irish limit.
(1j of power which is 328fps with a 0.2g BB anything above this and you need a firearms licence) although its listed as only 2fps over the limits your introducing a Risk of it being seized by Customs.

And if you do end up getting the gun and it happens to fire over the limits
you wont be allowed to use it on Skirmish sites in Ireland, And you'd end up
paying someone to downgrade it for you.

If I was new to airsoft I'd have a web surf on the Irish online stores to
see if anything takes your fancy. Some of the stores do starter packages
so for 200 Euros you will get a Gun/Battery/Charger/Tac Vest/Spare mag and facemask etc.

if you buy from abroad you will get charged Vat on top of the initial price
and the vat is calculated on the shipping cost as well. So thats probably works
out around 180-190 Euros to get the gun landed in Ireland.

    Thanks

Nice to know ehobby will downgrade for free! :D

If you buy from them ask them to include a note to say its under 1J!!!!
I specifically requested this from them before! and despite them agreeing to do this,
there was no note! when it got posted to me. One reason for requesting a note is sometimes
the box the gun will come in will advertise a higher fps even if you get downgrade.
The other reason is if you get a declaration note saying the gun is under 1j it may help
smooth processing in customs, or if it does go over 1j you have documentation to prove you did request
    it to be sub 1j.

Even with the listing you posted at 330fps who knows in Ireland that
may Chrono under the limit. I've had guns vary in fps depending on the
weather and location. One of my first guns I ordered was listed at 330fps on some websites but 320fps on other websites so it can be sometimes
difficult to tell just whats going to land on your doorstep.

I had a gun I ordered from ehobby before send to the Gardai
despite it being under 1j and ehobby's website listing at well under 1j.
But I've other purchases from them get to me fine. Kinda luck of the draw really. When my gun got sent to the gardai it was a bit of a headache getting it back but eventually I did, one of the other guys from boards
had the same thing happen to him at the exact same garda station!
(Shannon Garda station Co. Clare) Same Chap had a less positive experience
where he had to go to court to eventually get his guns back from the Gardai.

If you do end up buying from abroad make sure you do actually get a good deal. The gun listed when I'm looking at the description does not really
say much about how its better than other brands.

It says its got an full Aluminum body which is probably better than the pot metal on other cheap guns, but other than that I dont see any features that
jump out and say they are better than something you would buy here.

Its got a 6.08mm Barrel listed in the description.
When you take a look at precision/tightbore barrels they are usually listed
at 6.03 or 6.02 so whats listed looks more or less bog standard to me.
