    Quickie,

    A mate of mine wants to know what aerial he needs to get DTT in Achill. Anyone any idea what the best transmitter is or is DTT available in Achill???

    DTT from Achill broadcasts on UHF channel 47. Vertical polarisation. This is the frequency for the current mux (mux 1). I don't know what the frequency for Mux 2 is. Might be 41, 44 or 51.

    You need a group B aerial. Should have yellow plastic plugs to indicate this group.

    Group B aerial:

    For a vertically polarised signal, install aerial as pictured here:

    Or if you have a wideband UHF aerial, install it like this:
