Hi, This is aimed at those who have run new winter tyres over the last couple of years (and possibly before that). I would like to know what brand / type you ran, how they performed and what the wear was like.

Please don't turn this tread into a do we or do we not need winters in Ireland. I'm simply interesting in your experience with them and how you rate them for wear.

    Thanks.

got 4 Bridgestone Blizzak LM 20 winter tyres put on August 2009 - bought from eiretyres summer 09 €50 a corner on sale

Tyre wear is minimal car passed NCT in June 2011 with these tyres on, no issues

Wear is very low, tyres on all year, ride a bit harsher that summer tyres but not objectionable. Tyres are ok on the wet - generally very good for the car theyre on (1994 mazda 626 1.8i)

Excellent grip in mud and snow which weve had so much past two winters here so have been terrific investment

Tyres have 30,000 miles on them - have rotated them every 10,000 miles
