    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a spec for insulating chimneys (internal and external) for a new build. Should the internal chimney breasts be dry-lined or just slabbed?

the blockwork should be designed to have a continuous cavity either outside 9in teh case of an internal chimney) or inside (external chimney). There is no need for any change to the regular construction if the blockwork is designed properly.
