Private Dinner, Evening Party. Any ideas?

We would like to have a relaxed, no fuss easy wedding and are thinking about ditching the usual hotel routine. Instead we are looking for ideas of where to have a private ceremony, family dinner (c20 people) and a party afterwards for 120-150 extended family & friends. (In Dublin city centre).

We were thinking Merrion, l'Ecrivain or Cliff Townhouse for the meal.

For the evening party we are thinking Odeon/Fallon & Byrne maybe but I'm trying to find any other alternatives for those numbers? Tailors Hall looks nice but there are issues like cost of venue hire/ have to stock the bar ourselves, get in caterers etc.

The private dining option is probably straightforward but would anyone have any suggestions for where to hold a party for 120-150 people?

    Cheers

You've mentioned most of them in your OP but there's a good write-up on alternative Dublin City Centre venues here: http://onefabday.com/secret-dublin-city-centre-wedding-venues/

Cheers folks, some great ideas there alright.

Never knew the cost of platters and canapes would be so much though. With drinks room hire etc its coming out same price as some hotels for a full on wedding.

    Fun fun fun......

I guess because you are paying full price to each supplier whereas a hotel can bulk buy and sell a package at a discount.
