    living on a mountain. saving up to afford some way of getting off it :) i have a car on the provision i can afford my own tax and insurance etc. problem is i have no idea where to start. i know there is a theory test, after that i have no idea. can someone please give me the progression of this process? and links maybe? also a timeframe as to how long this is gonna take before im a fully legal driver. thanks in advance

    You will have to wait 6 months after getting your Learner Permit until you can sit your driving test. Also you will be required to sit 12 lessons with an ADI before you can sit your test.

    You will not be able to drive a car without being accompanied by someone who has held their license for at least 2 years.

    Personally i'd wait before getting insurance/tax etc on your own car. You wont be able to drive it anyway, so it would be a waste of cash. You'd be better off getting lessons for now.
