Hotpoint TDL10 won't start, has power

    It's plugged into a extension cord from a socket that is on so should have power. Also checked the power outlet, it works.
    According to the manual all that's needed is to turn the timer dial and close the dorr to start it but that won't happen :/

    Is there a fuse inside that might need changing or something?

    does that model have a striker on the door that connects with a micro switch when closed ? check that the striker isn't missing or bent

    Good question but alas no, it doesn't seem to have a switch on the door.
    I guess that's inside the locking mechanism.

    Btw, changed fuse in plug - no joy.

    Called out an electrician, 2-3 things inside needed changing. 100 euro cost to fix.

    Yeah got it repaired. Ireland isn't great for drying clothes outside :D
