What is peoples issue with using these properly? Everytime I'm anywhere that has there you see most of the people vigorously moving their hands up and down then looking at them wondering why they are not properly dry.

It's very simple and they even have the instructions in front of them. Put your hands in and withdraw them slowly upwards in one movement taking 10 seconds. Hey presto, dry hands.

the second generation of these dryers calls for you to move your hands up and down.

although Dundrum are the old type, I'm not sure people being confused between the two is that important.

    edit: in dysons own words
"Move your hands up and down slowly through the air."

I assume the one on the left is the old one and the one on the right the new? I think it's just bad wording. The directions are the sam on both. I've never seen Dyson himself (or anyone else ) demo it any other way than the one movement.

    http://www.english.dysonairblade.ca/support/help.aspproduct=change&article=1330

The idea is (as dyson says himself) it scraps the water off. If you move up and down it just pushes the water back and forwards on your hands.

Dyson dont seem to have put out any videos at all talkign about a completeyl different way of using the dryers now.

the first ones I saw had two images. In the first the hands were in the machine and arrow down, and in the second the arrow was pointing up and it said 10 secs beside it - which I interpret the same as yourself, take your hands out slowly.

The second lot that I've seen have the same first image, but two arrows in the second image, one in either direction. Suggesting (to me) that you've to move your hands up and down.

I'd take it to be bad wording/description tbh. They dont work properly if you move them up and down. Theres still wet on your hands cos it just pushes up and down as you move them. The machine hasnt changed.

Thats a general life rule. Always put your willy in things.

It's a better thermometre than your finger for a start.
