    Er.... Discuss :pac:

Expensive? Prohibitively so. Ridiculous? Absolutely! Kinda cool? I reckon it's very cool. But I kinda hate it too. I just don't know what to think anymore :pac:

My favourite part is booking Dinosaur Jr., and then getting J. Mascis, Lou Barlow and Sebadoh to play as well :p

Sounds like something id go for if I got the money together, me and the GF are always talking about doing a cruise. Hanging out with Dinosaur Jr on a ship would be epic.:D

Possibly one of the worst ideas I have ever heard of. Lets be honest, Rivers barely speaks when he's on stage so I can imagine what he's be like surrounded by obsessive fans for three days on a ship he cant get off.

It's very modern Weezer - tacky, overly commercial, more than a little embarrassing.

And yet... the non Weezer line-up is actually quite enticing, and being honest if they played a hits set I'd love to see Weezer too (they're playing awesome Blue / Pinkerton sets in some places at the moment). If I could afford it, I'd say it would be an experience if approached with a hearty dose of ironic detachment - alas, a minimum investment of $700-900 dollars, plus flights, makes me wonder how many people will actually be into the darn thing.

In short, I'd go to it over an actual 'normal' cruise, but still think it's a bit of a farce.

Yeah I have to echo the above posters statements. I would almost prefer to be a fly on the wall there than to actually attend and interact.

So it's kind of ATP at sea?

Absolutely the best part of it. 4 for the price of 1. Maybe Jay and Lou will have to share a cabin with hidden cameras broadcast to the rest of the ship?

That's a pretty hefty price tag.
