Help, I've accidentally dyed my hair green

In a fit of boredom I got some of Lush's Caca Noir Henna hair dye. I'd used the other Cacas before with good results, so figured I'd get a darker shade out of the Noir. I mixed it up and coated my hair, it set to a pleasing shade of black, four hours passed and I washed it off.

My OH came in while I was drying my hair and said "You've done something to your hair" in a flat voice. "I've dyed it," I said. "Do you like it?" "It's very, um, green", he replied.

For green it is. Not just green, not even bright green; that I could, at least, pretend to have done on purpose. No, this is the green of the sludge I dredge out of the pone; mud and algae green.

So, I need help. Blasting it with piss didn't do anything. Can you dye over henna?

You've wasted at least 4 comical replies just by putting that in OP

You should dye your pubes to match.......

    Then post pics

Henna is green until you wash it out properly. Don't be so manky and have a proper shower.

Get over the counter blue/black. It isn't great for the condition of your hair, but it should counterbalance the green. You will have a navy glow instead.

I washed it twice and gave it a good lathering. I see more showers in my future so.

Keep washing until the water runs clear. That can take up to half an hour's solid lathering, based on when I used to henna my own hair. It'll be lovely and soft afterwards though :)

ah this happened to myself a good few years back,at least i was a teenager so it was almost expected to have wierd hair.

Offically, you're not meant to put other dyes on top of henna but in for a penny...

I suggest trying a really bright red dye,it'll counter act the green and bring it back to your normal colour.

    (she might fall for it)

Try putting red henna on top of it? I'm thinking the red would neutralise the green, and give that dark red henna glow that looks really good. Otherwise, buy a hat :)

    Yes.

You can put more henna over it too. Try the red/purple one, the pure red one fades to a horrible ginger....oh, the memories....*shudder*

The best solution to this is to apply very white, talc-like foundation to your face and paint your lips a deep crimson red.

Then, once you've completed this go and get yourself a purple suit and enlist some henchmen.

Go to the fictional city of Gotham and kill Bruce Wayne's parents.

    Profit.

I think it's a rite of passage for every girl to have mistakenly dyed their hair an odd colour / had a terrible hair cut at some point or other.

D'you look anything like this? You could consider a career in crime.

Otherwise, that Britney spears/GI Jane look is very in.

I henna my hair using body art quality henna which is the best and it doesn't fade that much. Then again I make sure I do my roots every four weeks so it doesn't get to fade that much anyway.

OP if you have blond hair why did you use black henna (which I assume was indigo) instead of chemical dyes?
Did you use henna over already chemically dyed hair? That could turn your hair a fetching shade of green! never mix the two.
Keep washing, it takes ages to rinse the henna completely out of your hair after using it. Best as someone else said- just get into the shower to do it properly.

There are several people who have conquered this adversity and gone on to greater things, Kermit, The Incredible Hulk and Sickly Smurf spring to mind.
