Fiesta suspension problem

I have a '07 Fiesta van. When I first got it last year, I noticed I had to hold the wheel at 1230 in order to go straight. I thought it was just the alignment that needed done so brought it to Fastfit and they found that it was actually a damaged part on the front-left suspension(think it was the knuckle).
Anyway, 3 months later and its gone again. If you put the front left up on a jack, it is not fixed in place (theres a little wiggle room). I think its from constantly hitting pot-holes and kerbs around Tallaght, where I live.
    The front right is fine.
Im not reckless over bumps but it feels incredibly stiff when I hit a pot-hole, even passesngers notice it.
Is this common in Fiestas, or anyone elses car?

what i mean is if you put the car on a jack, hold the top and bottom of the wheel, then shake it, it moves about half inch either way. The other front wheel doesnt move, its fixed tight.
    Sorry, difficult to describe.
I actually brought it to Ford on the recommendation of Fastfit, Fastfit couldnt fix it. I think they said they replaced the hub and knuckle.

If it was only done 3 months ago Id be bringing it back straight away and tell them to sort it out FOC unless your a complete dumby and hitting every pothole known to man then theres something drastically wrong It could be as simple as they didnt tighten up all the bolts etc but bring it back . Hardly a wheel bearing is it?

The car must be doing a lot of rattling on the road.
