Anyone use this package yet? I see its free on trial, but I wonder what it will cost in the long run. Also is it a good package? Sage dont generally develop good packages, they take over companies that have developed good pacjkages and then sell the hell out of them.

Good feedback from Quickbooks Online accounts package from some clients, not bad. Monthly fee for Quickbooks is 12 Dollars, I see Sages online package is 12 Euros per month so comparable pricing, for now.

Does quickbooks handle VAT ? Just wondering as you have mentioned US$ pricing.

    Yes Quickbooks handles VAT.

BTW I have no connection with Quickbooks, I dont re-sell it etc, it just appears to be the most user-friendly of the packages out there for the price. I have used Kashflow and looked at a few others, but all other packages are very clunky to use.

    Bigcheeze have you used Sage?

Sage One is Sage's online accounting package. It is a fully online accounting package and was launched recently. There are two variations - Cashbook and Accounts. You can sign up for a free 30 day trial of either variation by visting www.sageone.ie

Both Sage One and Quickbooks will handle VAT for you.

We use Xero online accounting system for ourselves and clients. Not connected at all with Xero but the system works well and it facilitates uploading of bank statement data which saves a lot of time.
Checked out the SAGE online on the website but it doesn't look as comprehensive.

I have used Xero online package and found it to be very clunky, it took ages to enter the data.

Unlike normal accounting packages where the front end looks like a spreadsheet, with Xero you have to go to a new screen shot every time you complete a transaction. Painful.

I tried a trial of Sage and it is a very limited product. It's pretty much a basic invoicing app - it doesn't do full accounts.

I started using Yendo (http://www.yendo.com) and so far it's fairly easy to use.

It's free if you stay under 5 invoices each month, I haven't had to pay anything yet.

    Stumbled upon this thread.
There is an Irish developed online cloud computing accountancy product I've started using from www.usebullet.com (I am not connected).
You can take a pic of your expense receipts and they get uploaded directly. Handy.

Just to clarify on Sage One - the product will do more than an invoicing app.
In addition to invoicing and producing statements Sage One Accounts will look after customers, suppliers, income and expenditure, bank, VAT and reporting. It will create a trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet.
