I thought that as well, Your Airbag, but from looking at the question I think you have to pick it from A, B, C, D, E - so I'm not sure (yet) what the answer is!

yeah, You have to pick from A,B,C,D or E. I know the answer (back of the book!) but i don't know how you get to it. I won't ruin it for you though!!

    I'll say D?

If you take the top number in one block, and multiply it by the bottom number in the block to the right of it, the result is put in the top spot of the block two to the right of the original block. i.e. 4*2=8 in the example.

No, im afraid that's not right! Well going by the answer i was given. :(

Either could I so I came up with my own :D

i'm going with B, but my reasoning is only based on making the answer fit rather than proper progression

I would go with e as the previous number 32 has to be redistributed and the bottom number remains the sane as the time before as it only changes every second time. My backup answer would be a.

I'm going with C purely on guess work.

The bottom row is 2, 2, 4, so I'm taking it as 0,2,2,4. Then 0+2=2, 2+2=4, 2+4=6, so I'm putting 6 on the bottom row, leaving me with A or C as possibles. I'm picking C, as 28 appears twice, leading me to believe the top box is more likely to be a 28, but now I'm too tired to figure out how we get 4,6,8,28 :(

    My answer is
    E because of the 6 + 2 = 8, 4 + 8 = 12 & 28 + 4 = 32
pattern as well as the fact that the bottom blocks are in a 2, 2, 4, ? pattern
implying that it must be 4 instead of 6 as the only possibility to get 32.
    Hope that makes sense!

I'm not sure I've followed your reasoning of choosing 4 correctly. I'm assuming you mean that it satisfies some sort of doubling pattern, which doesn't seem like sufficient reason because we only see one prior instance of it.

4 does satisfy a pattern where the bottom block of an element is equal to (top block-bottom block) from the previous member of the sequence though. Here's an illustration of what I mean:

    I'm going to say E

    I'd go for
    A:

As has been pointed out by others, the two numbers in the left-hand part of each piece are found by divvying up the number in the right of the previous block. This leaves A or E as the possibilities. Wheras SponsoredWalk then goes for E, on the basis the best guess for 2,2,4,? is 4, I'd go for the 6, on the basis of adding the previous two numbers.

It's a bit dodgy either way!

Hey guys, good work the answer is E! I could get the redistribution of the number 32 but I was unable to logically say that the answer is E and not A. I think Davidius has the best solution. It makes logical sense by simple subtraction. Thanks

I have another one now though which I can't even get a start on.

    OT > OTT > OTTF > OTTFF > ?

Select the option that comes next in the series:
    A: OTTFFS
    B: OTTFFU
    C: OTTFFO
    D: OTTFFX
    E: OTTFFZ

    That's easy:
    A

It just helps to have seen this one before, I think:
One Two Three Four Five Six

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.
