Sky+ Remote Problem

    I have my sky+ box in the attic and so use a magic eye with the tv.
    Approx 1mth ago I changed the batteries in my remote, it is just since i remember it starting, and since then my remote seems to work properly when it feels like it.
    Sometimes it works perfectly but at other times some buttons will not work, namely 0,1,5, back up, the down arrow button or the rewind when watching a recorded program.
    I font know whether this matters but the problem seems to be more prominent at night time, very often works fine during the day.
    I have tried new batteries, repositioned magic eye and am completely baffled.
    Any help ?
