    ....this http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/heating/1924439

I have access to free wood and am thinking of installing one of these on an existing open oil central heating system (kerosene).

It's just the same as a log burner but can burn other fuels. As far as I know it's illegal to burn house hold waste so I dont know why they have that as a selling point.

I cannot see whats free about 900 euro. Also it is illegal to burn household rubbish

I dont know about you but i would not invest in such an item where there is no outlet and only a mobile telephone number.

They don't even say the maker is. Is there any factory fitted insulation on the stoves boiler as when its not lit it would freeze and burst. Unless you use heating antifreeze?

You would need to see it to check the quality and does it comply with the various standards? Are parts readily available?

Myself I wouldn't touch it and only buy an appliance thats well known and have a good dealer as backup for spares etc.

I cant understand the number of tradespeople in Ireland who only give a mobile number. Why is this? I think a home number is very important for clients. It seems more proffesional.

It looks like an incinerator with a back boiler ? Or have I missed something. No insulation and installed outside so very good for heating the garden. If you want the hot water in the morning it will need to be fully controllable and burn effectively all night. It will heat the garden all night as well.
As I said I may be missing something.

If you have access to free wood, look into wood gasification boilers
