ITEC Teaching Course

    hi i am a qualified beauty therapist and am hoping to do my teaching course, i have found one locally which is an itec course , i am wondering what is the difference in this and others like nabtet ? does the itec one qualify you only to teach for itec exams only ?
    any help is grateful .

    It depends where you want to teach - if you are seeking a job with a Private College then they decide what they want but if it is in the public sector (very few jobs in the Beauty Therapy area) then you will need to meet the criteria established by the Dept of Education in a circular letter and also be registered with the Teaching Council. It has got increasingly difficult. Check out www.teachingcouncil.ie
