Look very nice. I'm not to sure on the options it has down to select, its different degrees. What's the standard loft on a wedge?

It's a stunning looking club with really nice milling on the face....have been watching them a couple of years. Beautiful shiny ultra simple finish with scratch logo and degree. Will post photo tomorrow

Regarding what wedge to select, go onto scratch golfs website for explanation.

Yeah, same here, bought from them once and won't buy anything that ships through FedEx again. You will get hit with duty and other charges.
If you don't pay up within a few weeks they pass it off to a debt collection agency.

They will send an invoice out.
This is correct, expect to get an invoice within 10 days and you'll also find a handling charge of €10 which they also charge VAT on.

used this wedge the other day and its astonishing. I'm a 12 handicapper and wouldnt usually spin the ball that much around the greens, but this thing is truly one hop and stop.....makes you look like a complete pro. So much so, that my mate that I was playing with the other day went out and ordered two on Monday.

Full shots, you can rip the ball back, anywhere inside 15 yards and it grips very quickly, 40 yard shots can be thrown straight at the pin and they will stop dead after one bounce.

I'm sure people will do lots of :rolleyes:
but I'm just telling it as I see it!!!

Just took a drive up to Warrenpoint, pro in the golf club there called Nigel Shaw, he met the Scratch guys at an expo in Orlando in Feburary and ordered some heads from them, he then fits shaft (True Temper or other), grip (thin/fat golf pride as you want) and tweeks the lie as necessary for about £115. Its more expensive that Rock Bottom but you get a fitted club so suppose works out about the same. Hes only got 53 degree at the moment, 56 coming in in a few weeks but he can adjust up to 3 degrees if your looking for something partucular

Anybody know is there a 'threshold' limit for goods ordered outside the EU before addl. duty is added?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 751 ✭✭✭BiffoGooner

Gah, no lefties. I'd probably have purchased too.

Yes, it has to be marked as "Gift" or a value of less than $50 to escape the import duty

Tks. Tones. Just pulled this off revenue.ie also Consignments not exceeding an intrinsic value of €150 may be imported without payment of Customs Duty, while consignments not exceeding a total value of €22 may be imported without payment of VAT. (Intrinsic value is the value of the goods alone, and does not include insurance and freight.)

Was thinking of buying clubs online in America and havin them sent by post to Ireland then.I wonder would I still be hit for the extra charges by avoiding UPS/Fedex.Anyone ever try this.Clubs would be worth $400 or so..
